They say you only have one dog in your life that means so much to you. This is the dog. I got a call that this dog was available. Maybe I possibly might be able to find a home for him. I jumped in the van with my friend Audrey and we left to see if this little guy was worth placing. In my mind I did want another dog, but I still wasn’t over Mingo. Audrey asked me, “What if he is nice, would you take him?” I said, “For one thing he would have to be petite and fine boned, white face with eye rim, very agile, not heavily spotted, very affectionate with a wonderful temperament towards people and dogs. Odds are, this isn’t going to happen. Well……as they brought him out of the kennel. He was exactly as I described. I said to myself, “Okay he is supposed to come with me.” This 10 month old sweetheart was supposed to be mine. It was fate. Audrey just looked at me and smiled. We both knew. Harley took to agility like he was born doing it. He was like a cat. I basically never had to teach him anything. He just did it. He was in open agility by the time he was a year and a half. He was special. He is a very sensitive little boy and I do have to watch how I train him. Harley has come a long way and now is working on his utility title. I hope he can handle the pressure that this is going to put on him. Learning utility is very difficult. Harley has achieved his agility excellent titles, but the one that is most important to me is the coveted utility title. He has taught me that I can trust and depend on him. I hope we can do this. I’ve been waiting a long time. All about Harley:
